Highlights:

As a healthcare practitioner or diabetes educator, you already know that Almased is a  powerful weight loss and wellness multi-tasker that can enhance your clients’ nutrition and help them achieve their own health goals.

As you may also know, Almased is a high-protein and low-glycemic meal-replacement formula (in a convenient ready-to-mix powdered form) that’s supported by over 15 years of scientific research.

The Almased Diet also referred to as the “Almased Figure Plan” and “Figure Plan Plus,” consists of three simple phases.

The timeline for each phase can be adapted to your clients’ diabetes or nutritional needs.

When speaking to your clients about Almased, you may find that some — depending on their health status or goals — may feel more comfortable skipping the first phase of the Almased Diet or are more motivated to remain in a particular phase. Modifying the program to your patients’ needs is fine.

However, for generally healthy people with diabetes, we suggest that people adhere to the phases of the program as closely as possible for the best results.

The program has been developed according to the findings of our research studies involving people with diabetes who used Almased and experienced a positive impact on healthy blood sugar levels and healthy outcomes in a little as 12 weeks.

In fact, participants in one study who completed the fasting phase with Almased saw significant blood sugar and weight improvements by the completion of the program compared to those who skipped it.

The Almased Figure Plan Plus - What Is It?

The Figure Plan Plus is Almased’s 4-phase diet plan that helps people achieve their health goals. The plan is designed to help boost metabolism plus maximize weight loss and fat burn.

If your clients are looking for weight loss, you may want to suggest that they start with Phase 1 of the Figure Plan and follow the instructions from beginning to end, as closely as possible, to get the best results.

Phase 2 is the second week of the 14-day Figure Plan. For quick and safe weight loss, the diet is completed at the end of the 14 days. For those seeking long-term whole-body transformation, you may want to recommend that they continue with Phase 2 until they achieve their desired body weight.

For clients who seek wellness and healthy blood sugar support, you may want to recommend that they start with Phase 3, and continue until improvements are seen. Some people may want to start with Phase 3 and work their way backward.

For your clients who are focused on fitness, you may want to suggest that they start in Phase 4 and use Almased once-daily as a healthy high-protein supplement.

Below is an example plan outline, with general suggestions as to what your clients should consume in each phase for best results:

Phase 1 may not be for everyone, however. For some clients, you may want to start them on Phase 3 for a few days until they feel comfortable with using Almased, then encourage them to work their way back to Phase 2. Once, in Phase 2, they can continue until they achieve their desired health goal.

What Makes Almased So Special?

Almased contains a carefully balanced combination of non-GMO soy protein, skim milk, yogurt and raw honey. Its low glycemic index of 27 helps support healthy blood sugar levels, which may be assessed by HbA1c over time.

Almased is a diabetic-friendly product perfectly suited for those who are overweight (BMI = 25–29.9) or obese (≥ 30.0).

Almased works with, not against, the body. Its core ingredients are crafted using a unique fermentation process that yields a product with an ideal 2:1 protein-to-carb ratio.

It provides vitamins, minerals, trace elements and amino acids that nourish the body, while it is free from artificial fillers, flavors, added sugars, preservatives or stimulants.

Providing 27 grams of high-biological-quality protein per serving, in addition to amino acids, bioactive peptides and other nutrients, Almased is trusted by many for healthy weight loss and nutrition support since it’s backed by over 30 years of published research, including a study by Kerstin Kempf described below.

Almased and Glucose Health: The Science Speaks for Itself

In a 2017 study by Kerstin Kempf and a group of German researchers, a 12-week telemedical lifestyle intervention (TeLiPro) was conducted in patients with advanced type 2 diabetes.

It included weekly phone calls by trained diabetes educators who talked about diet, exercise, and options for lifestyle changes.

For the first 12 weeks, the TeLiPro group also received a low-glycemic high-protein dietary supplement — Almased — in place of three meals a day for the first week, two meals a day for weeks 2 to 4, then one meal a day for weeks 5 to 12.

The results? The HbA1c levels in the LGHP diet group were, on average, reduced by 1.1, from 8.4% to 7.3%.

In this group, there were also significant reductions in fasting blood glucose, body weight, body mass index, blood pressure, cardiovascular risk factors, and requirements for diabetes medications — a 20% lower need for medications and a nearly 50% reduction in insulin needs. These improvements were even seen after 52 weeks of follow-up.

The German researchers used Almased since it is high in protein but low in carbohydrates (nearly 2:1 protein to carbs), since more protein in the diet naturally reduces insulin demand and increases fat burning.

The Almased Metabolic Advantage

A new study showed that Almased can help the body lose weight and burn more fat with less effort.

In fact, researchers concluded that Almased provides a “metabolic advantage” compared to a conventional diet.

The takeaway from this research, and other published studies, is that while supporting glycemic control can be hard for your clients, it can be easier when their metabolism is working with them.
